In "Tiff," ASH uses a signature expressive realism to explore the connection between human emotion and vibrant, abstract form. The piece features a heavy impasto technique. This means the thick, rhythmic application of paint creates a three-dimensional texture on the canvas. This hands-on approach connects the physical medium with the ethereal quality of the subject’s gaze.
The artist’s palette in this work is an in-depth study of light and temperature.
